Where do we Get the Water, and How is it Processed?
- Our water source is the pristine Mountain Lake in Moran Park. It
has an area of 198 acres and a total volume of 8,800 acre ft.

- The water is drawn from Cascade Creek
- The stream also supports trout,
a salmon run and a wide
variety of wildlife and plants.
- We currently have 162 members of which 118 are active with a
total of 140 connections.
- Our system is currently permitted by Wa State to support
165 connections, and is expected
to
increase over time.
- Our current adjudicated
water right is for 94 acre ft per year with a peak withdrawal
allowed of 0.56 cfs with a priority date of
1908.
- The water is pre-filtered in Cascade Creek, then processed
through 2 slow
sand filters each rated at a continuous flow of up to 60 gpm.
- The water is chlorinated before delivery to our members (owners).
- We have 147,300 gal of total water storage. Most of it is in the
tank built by Mt Baker Silo at
an elevation of 320' to handle peak flow conditions and to ensure
a reliable safe supply under peak conditions.
