(unofficial) Orcas Island Watershed Mailing List

This mailing list is to help people interested in the Orcas Island Watershed to share information, ideas, meeting notices, opinions or anything else that would be of benefit. This service is provided by Olga Water Users Inc. (OWU) for the benefit of it's members and the rest of the community. Any opinions distributed on the mailing list are not necessarily those of OWU, we are just making the mail list service available to the community as long as it is constructive.

Guidelines:

Anyone can join.
Anyone can send to it (even if they are not on the list).
Membership is anonymous, unless you send out an announcement to the list (Except I have to update the list, but then I forget quickly after that).
The sender's email address is included when the mail is forwarded to the list
If you want to send a mail to the list anonymously, you can send it to me at the address below and I will remove your email and forward it to the list (even if I disagree with the content, as long as it is not blatantly offensive.)
Anything sent to the list goes out to the list of people who have subscribed..
The list is automatic and not "moderated", i.e. Nothing is censored (this could be bad)
Please focus on identifying issue, proposing and solutions. This is not for legal debate, personal issues or spam.
Efforts will be made to spam proof it with cooperation from the members. i.e. do not post the email address on a web page to prevent bots from adding it to spam lists.
Achieves may be kept (not yet, depends on disk space)
A web page could be kept with contact info if people are interested, otherwise all subscriber information is kept private.
Relevant meeting notices, minutes, information, opinions and comments are invited.
OWU does not guarantee the list will be supported and may discontinue the list without notice, or exclude anyone at OWU's discretion.

You can also contact me by phone or email if you wish to send something to the list anonymously. I would remove any identifying information and your email address, then forward the mail if it was not blatantly offensive. Some ideas are certainly going to offend some (perhaps even myself!), but I would only refuse to forward trash.

These pages are intended to include relevant public information for the benefit of those who care about these remarkable watersheds on Orcas Island. The ideas and opinions presented here do not necessarily represent the policies, procedures or opinions of Olga Water Users Inc. or it's board.
